There are many ways to derive the Equation of Time, depending on one’s need for accuracy.
(i) Kepler's procedure, which follows the astronomical process descibed in the previous chapter, is sufficient for most normal use.
(ii) the Almanac procedure is slightly less complex and slightly less accurate
(iii) the Fourier procedure is the simplest and is sufficiently accuate for most gnomonical use.
